The Flock members are taken under the wing of an FBI agent and try to live "normal" lives by going to school, making friends--and continuing their relentless search for their parents. Characters/People edit see section history

  • Maximum Ride (Max): The flock leader who has a voice in her head telling her what not or to do. It sometimes gives her a headache.
  • Fang: He's the tall silent one. He doesn't show his feelings, but Max can tell his emotions.
  • Iggy: He's the blind one who can tell the flock members apart by the feel of their skin. He jokes around, but hates being blind. He can build killer-awesome bombs with his partner in crime, the Gasman, and knows all types of weapons. He remembers seeing.
  • Nudge: She's the one who always talks. She is continuously wondering about and searching for her parents. She really likes fashion.
  • The Gasman (Gazzy): He's Iggy's best friend and brother to Angel. He is mischievous. His name is not lying. When he has one of his "episodes", you want to be as far as possible. He can mimic any voices perfectly, and gets into trouble when they find out that it is him, not someone else.
  • Angel: She is the one that can read and influence people's minds. She is sister to Gazzy and is Max's "little girl". She can also breathe under water. She can be full of herself.
  • Total: A little black scottie who can talk. The flock (or should I say Angel) got him at the Institute for Higher Living. He can jump 16 feet in the air, and is kind-of boring. He is the only other person other than Nudge that keeps them up to date in the new world.
  • Ari: Was a cute little seven year old until his dad, Jeb, left him with the white coats. They turned him into a Eraser, who are people that are half human and half wolf. They look like awesome super models until they transform. Then they look more wolf than super-awesome-super-models.
  • Anne: Anne Walker is an FBI agent who takes the flock into her home while Fang recovers from a fight.
