  • Kip Guile: The illegitimate son of Gavin Guile. The extent of his drafting ability is unknown but has shown the ability to draft blue, green and sub red.
  • Gavin Guile: The Lord Prism and the head religious figure of the Chromeria. He has the ability to draft all colors and split light without the need for colored spectacles.
  • White: The head of the spectrum and an antagonist of the Prism
  • Dazen Guile: Younger brother of Gavin Guile. Also has the ability to draft all colours and split light without the need for coloured spectacles.
  • King Rask Garadul: A sartrap who has crowned himself king of Tyrea and seeks to destroy the Chromeria
  • Karris White Oak: Ex-fiancĂ©e and on going romantic interest of Gavin Guile. She is a bi-chrome with the ability to draft green and red.
  • Crassos: The current governor of Garristos and a Ruthgari.
  • Master Corvan Danavis: A red monochrome and a the most renowned general who fought for Dazen Guile in the False Prism's War. The General of Danzen rebel army surrendured at a huge turning point of the Priasm/False Prism wars.
  • Symun: Symun is a magier in King Garadul's service.
  • Aliviana Danavis/Liv Danavis: The daughter of Corvan Danavis and has the ability to draft superviolet and a limited amount of yellow.
  • Lord Omnichrome/The Colour Prince: A mysterious character fighting on the side of King Garadul.
  • Ironfist: Ironfist is the commander of the Black Guard. He is devoted to his task of protecting the Prism and it's family.
  • Vena: The daughter of a Ruthgari noble and holder of Liv's drafter contract.
  • Lina: Kip's mother
  • Andross Guile: The father of Gavin and Dazen Guile.

  • Tyrea: Tyrea is part of the Seven Satrapies and located to the north of the Cerulean Sea.
  • Rekton: Rekton is Kip's hometown. It was destroyed when King Garadul attacked it to make an example of it.

  • Luxin: Luxin is drawn from light. Depending on the color spectrum from which it is drawn, it has different colors and properties.
  • The Prism: The Prism is the religious leader. In contrast to normal magicians he can draft every color and needn't fear to break the halo. However, his livespan is limited. Most only live seven years after they become the prism. There have also been some to live fourteen or even twenty-one years.
  • Bichromate: A person who can draft two colors, usually such that lie next to one another on the spectrum.
