even though it is not my favorite wouk, it is among my favorites, and it is a great book to introduce a reader to wouk, as it is almost a normal sized book, and he generally likes epics.

i may not have read this book but its giving the most incredible deja vu. I used to read him in school- i remember finding him in the american library i think and the one of his books was marjorie morningstar. at least in those days i thought he was great!!
