This story is about a young girl who has go and live with relatives, because her mother is unable to take her with her in her new job. So off to the Key West, Turtle goes to live with a family she never knew. She ends up living with her cousins that are part of a Babysitting Racket. Each child has a unique nickname. Turtle ends finding out a lot of family secrets and about the father she never knew. The children end up going a treasure hunt, too. It is a sweet book about the simple innocence of a child. Turtle grows up very quickly in the short period of her life, but she also learns to trust and love.
