Characters/People edit see section history

  • Katurian Katurian: A young writer (and the main character) whose macabre short stories bear an odd resemblance to a recent series of child murders. Younger brother of Michal.
  • Michal Katurian: Mentally challenged, older brother of Katurian.
  • Tupolski: One of two cops interrogating Katurian. He is considerably more civil and levelheaded than his partner Ariel, but is very blunt and has a tendency to make nasty, sarcastic remarks at both Katurian and Ariel.
  • Ariel: One of two cops interrogating Katurian. He is very hotheaded and is often subject to violent outbursts (usually directed at Katurian), and serves as a foil to Tupolski. In spite of his short temper, he has a soft spot for children. Is frequently taunted by Tupolski for having a "problem childhood." Swears frequently.
  • Mother and Father: Katurian's parents, shown in a flashback narrated by Katurian.
  • Young girl: Main character in one of Katurian's short stories, "The Little Jesus."
  • Pillowman: Title character from one of Katurian's short stories. Is literally a man made of pillows.
