“Book club pick for March. I think I am going to go see a Sarah Vowell talk instead of attending book club, but I feel compelled to keep up.
So if you hold a book in a way that hides the cover from other people on the train, that says something - right? This was not a terrible book, just lightweight and derivative. Half white- half slave girl who is torn between two worlds. Cruel, greasy overseer. Blah, blah, blah.”
