I can not wait for this book to be released! It is one of the few series that I really got into before all the books have come out, and now the agony of waiting for the release is horrible! lol. I go to a local book store called "The Book Rack" where the lady there, rightfully so, loves to read and usually has really good recommendations. I told her how I read and reread all the Harry Potter throughout highschool and feel in love with the whole series idea in books because I am a fast reader and can finish a book in a day, but to be able to read more than one book and grow with the characters is awesome. Then I told her how I felt like my life was over when I finished Twilight series, and I didn't know what to continue with. Then she recommended this series telling me that it sounds like I like more fantasy with drama mixed in, and she is right. I finished the first book in a day, but the second book to me was a little more slow, but after that I finished the rest quickly, but the past two I had to wait on the release and this one as well. The only thing that really kills me is the time that has passed while she is there....hasn't it not even been a year in the books like, like MAYBE a half a year has passed? That is crazy! lol. But April 27th approaches fast! I can't wait!

I REALLY hope Staark doesnt have to die to save Zoey.
What i didnt get is that Stevie Rae is on the cover when all the other times Zoey. Is the book gonna be like Tempted with all the other different point of veiw? The suspence is makin' me crazy!!!posted 3 years ago.

Yeah! I mean the whole story could be about Steive Rae, but it wouldn't be the same. Since Steive Rae is on the cover she must be a big character in the story.

This is going to sound silly, but I think that the dude w/wings...yea I've read them, but not for awhile, but he will be the one to save Zoey and that is how Zoey will have to decide after He saves her is she wants him or not. Do you guys remember his name?

I just read the discription to burned an dI think that things will be fine. And I thing that Zoey will come back and with Shakina, its a long shot but her dying-ish has to be good for something and i think that there is way more potential in Shakina than just to die for Nefret. So I dont knwo, the only thing that Im really concerned about is Stevie Rea... The raven Mockers could be a realy bad thing or they could be what helkps then if they turn against Kalona... I dont knwo but those are my thoughts...

I am reading the book at the Moment. I am halfway through. It is really good so far and I hope it gets better.
Stark is great. Stevie Rae is totally exciting. I am so curious, but I don't want to finish it to soon. I don't want the story to END and wait for the next book so long. :-) :-(posted 3 years ago.

I can honestly say that this book out of all the House of Night books is my favorite. I really loved the relationship between Stevie Rae and Rephaim (which is so heartbreaking by the way). And I loved the ending because of the Stark/Zoey moments-- that was seriously hot. Really looking forward to the next installment of this series!

Loved the story. By far the best book in the series, but I HATED the ending. I hate it when authors purposefully write extreme cliff-hangers at the end of their books, and this ending might be the epitome of cliff-hangers :D

I loved ittt soooooooo much Stevie Rae and Rephaim are soo adorable i love them Dallas he was to clingy and Zoey and Stark i love them sooo much together i hate that Erik is totally out of the picture but stark is better tho and and and I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHEN AWAKENED COMES OUT!!!! i LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!!!

i read this book over the summer it took about 3 days, and it was worth the read. but stevie rae needs to get it together with the kalonas son. and dallas should get over himself

I recently read the Divine series, also by PC Cast, before re-reading this series. I caught this time that one of her past life spirits was Brighid. Given the name, and her general description, I was wondering if it was just coincidence or if this was a reference to the Brighid of Brighid's quest? What does everyone else think?

I read up to this point in the series, and I guess I just lost interest. Zoey annoyed me, her feeling sorry for herself was definitely a part of the book I really didn't like. I think Stevie Rae was the only character I really liked... Maybe there's too much vampire/mystical creature hype going on right now for me to really enjoy this book series, I know it's a more original story line, but I guess I just feel I'm reading the same thing over and over again.
