Oh, and the ugliest dog ever. House #4 is actually a whorehouse, in another state, that Golden's construction company is building, for the Vegas mob (hey, the...” see full review » see other reviews » |

“The title made me read it! Not as interesting as I'd hoped. I think I'm craving a book with more action.”

Although the story and the characters were both funny at times but also pitiable, the writing, especially the descriptive passages, was high quality. I'm glad I read it for my book club but hestitate to recommend it. ”

I gave up right around the start of Golden's affair with Hula. Maybe I will pick it up again later and try to finish it, but there are many other books that I am far more interested in reading at the moment.”

Martin books, I needed to read a book with less people to keep track of. Only one husband, four wives and twenty-eight children keep this story moving. The novel was much less about polygamy and so much more about longing and the struggle to find connection with the ones we love. Often funny, mostly sweet and the end, truly heartrending, I loved this from cover to cover. ”
