In this book, Gregory has the worst Summer ever. He has to pay off a bill, actually go outside (you know how he hates that), dog watch,and spend quality time with his family. Although some parts weren't the best he had some good days!Worth the money and worth the time to read.

- Manny Heffley: Greg's baby brother. His a big tattletale and Greg's parents always baby him. He is a spoiled little baby. He is bad a telling jokes but his parents love him more than Greg.
- Heather Hills: Holly Hill's older sister, and lifeguard at the public pool. greg spends a lot of time trying to impress her.
