In this book, Nee outlines the Biblical book of Ephesians in three sections: Sit, Walk, and Stand. Nee explains that in the first part of Ephesians, Paul tells the believers about their identity in Christ. They must first learn to "sit" secure in who they are in Christ. Second, Paul describes the daily "walk" of a Christian believer. Finally, Paul finishes with an exhortation to "stand" firm in Christ against the power of the enemy. Often Christian believers focus on the last chapter of Ephesians in which Paul explains how to stand in Christ by putting on the "full armor" of God, but Nee emphasizes the need to first know how to sit and walk before one can stand.
