    Be afraid.......be very afraid.

A helicopter crashes in a small town named Safe Haven. The unsuspecting citizens have no clue about the evil that has been unleashed. It contained a special op force that has one goal only.....Isolate...Terrorize...Annihilate. As the red-op force starts there rain of terror unlikely heroes emerge. An aging sheriff, a firefighter and a single mom.

This story is not for the faint of heart. The violence and gore that spews off of the pages is hard to take at times....but....it's all for a reason. Conspiracy theorist will eat this book up.

    *disclaimer* extreme violence, torture

It is not very often I call a book amazing. This book is more then amazing. It is brilliant, unputdownable, fast-paced, scary, chilling. It will leave you frightened to death.

The story takes place in a small town in Wisconsin called Safe Haven. The residents there are just your average everyday people. A helicopter carrying an army of special ops force crashes and the town becomes a battlefield in a short few hours.

After reading the first chapter, I was completely engrossed in this book. I started it in the evening and was up half the night and this is not the type of book to read at night when you are alone. The villains are brutal. They are killers who kill with no remorse whatsoever. Killing is programmed into them and if their thoughts wander away from the mission, the chip in their brain is rebooted and the mission comes back as being their one and only thought.

Jack Kilborn has written a masterpiece. This is the first time I’ve read his work, and I was amazed at how he described the pain and suffering the characters went through. I felt like I was being tortured and it left cringing. There is no doubt about it, this book is violent. If you do not like violence, do not read it. If you do read it, be prepared for a killer rollercoaster ride. This is one of the best books I have read in a while.
