Made me realize why all of the bad stereotypes women have nowadays, and how it's really just a wall put up to keep us from getting hurt...and from being loved.” see full review » see other reviews » |

Its all about "unvelling the mystery of woman." But the author writes about her life. She shares stories about her 'first' experiences growing into a woman and how her family [out of love] would give her a hard time. The biggest reason why i enjoy reading this book is because myself and every girl has or will be going through these same things that the author has. Relationships, school and friends, family and just all sorts of stuff like that. ”

While I liked the summary I read on the back of it at the bookstore, the beautiful front cover is what really drew me to it. I liked most parts of this book, but it got a bit repetitive and boring, and I ended up halting my reading of it and sticking it on the shelf for a few months. Picking it back up again, I found the same themes to be refreshing, due to their absence. The book talks a lot about inner beauty, being a "Woman of God", and what God wants of us. I know that the authors, like William Paul Young ("The Shack"), don't REALLY know what God wants from us or would say to us anymore than I do, and I sometimes disagreed with their opinion. All in all, I'm glad I read this book, and I will apply some of their ideas to my spiritual life.”
