Entertaining yet thoughtful story about metamorphosis. It can be clearly seen what is the main character turning into but who would guess how the story of Larsen have ended?
Not to mention brave thesis about human morality - still actual now.
Mixing it with sea adventures makes it even better for me!
    Worth reading.

This book was better than Frankenstein, but I still hated it... ugh... I can't stand Jack London books...

Another one of those "School" books. You know how that goes. But it was an ok book.

This is by far the best fictional sea-fairing story I have ever read.
The transformation of Humphrey from someone who can’t seem to do anything for himself, to being able to stand up to Wolf, repair the Ghost and win over the woman’s heart was a wonderful journey. One book of Jack London’s that I have on my “must read” list.

The Sea Wolf is like two good books in one package. First follow the adventure story of San Fran's lost Van Weyden on a seal hunting schooner. (Based on London's on personal experience. Duh.) Then, observe the fascinating and ultimately horrifying decay and wasting of Wolf Larsen. This less well known part of the book is gripping and still relevant. It anticipates some Elizabeth Kubhler-Ross, and faces some age old questions head-on.

I loved this book! Jack London made one of the most complex and mysterious charactors I have ever seen. This is a must read book.

This story has a harsh but extremely basic and true philosophy of the way life is. There are definitely elements of natural selection, with regard to people, in this book.

What a great adventure story! You'll love the captain more than the protagonist.
