  • Princess Avielle Reginnia Coroll: Youngest daughter of the royal family. Is the only one of the 4 children to have her Dredonian heritage show through in her looks-silver skin and hair, and forehead ridges. She is shunned because of fear that Avielle will become a monster like her great great grandmother, who was Dredonian.
  • Gamalda: A weaver who befriends Avielle and lets her live with her under the fake name 'Vianna'
  • Edard: The eldest son in the royal family, the crown prince. He hates Avielle because she looks Dredonian.
  • Dolvoka: Avielle's great great grandmother. She created a horrible spell that destroyed every bird in Rhia. Dredonian.
  • Ismine: Avielle's older sister
  • Prince Graedig Pathsaur: An ugly prince who wants to marry Avielle for her dowry
  • Rajio: Avielle's little brother. The only one who truly loves Avielle.
  • Esilia: Lives in the castle. Is one of the few people who treat Avielle like a normal person. Wants to become a damada in the temple. Survives the collapse of the castle.
  • Tinitia Bottledown (Tinty): Goes by Tinty. If you call her by her real name, you'll have her to reckon with. Has magic, but can't find out what kind. Is an....interesting person.
