Modern day homesteaders leave their 9 to 5 suburban lives behind and find out what they really want and value out of life. Full of adventure and will make you question the sanity and motivation of the author and her husband at times. I was on the edge of my seat for parts of this book. I loved it so much I wanted to have coffee with the author when I was done with it, just so I could ask her questions about the book and her life now. Excellent book.

I'm about halfway through this book for my book club and I am going at a snail's pace. I think I'd rather watch paint dry than read this book. Mostly it makes me nervous. I would never move to the boondocks (ok, I do live on an island, so just ignore that) unless there was a Target in the immediate vicinity. Needless to say, I would not have cut it as a pioneer woman. :) It's a good book to read about being submissive to your husband, though.
