  • Persuasion: The younger brother is trying to persuade "the monster" in the house to wait for his older brother to get home because he would be much more appetizing to eat and he gives three reasons to support this argument. He also addresses the the monster's concerns and in the end is very excited to see his brother. It is a wonderful book for a teacher teaching the elements of persuasive writing.
