This will help not only the partner with the mom, but is also explains reasons you may want to hire a doula, positions that help make birth better.

I think this book is not just a must-read, but a must-have for all expectant parents. A great resource for the birth support team. Having it on hand during labor is helpful since the book is set up for quick reference, it is easy to look something specific up pretty quickly, if ideas are needed.

I had a homebirth and my spouse really depended on this book to understand what I was going through and how best to support me during a long, long, unmedicated labor. He's a wonderful partner anyway, but this book helped him really be there for me during the birth - without freaking out. :-)
