by Jennifer Roberson (Author)This is one of the best action adventure series I have read in a long time, the characters live, have layered personalities, the action is dramatically described and you will have a hard time putting a book down before you have read them all.
Characters/People edit
- Del: Young, pale and blond from the north, Del has come to the desert lands to learn and add the Southron style of sword fighting to the mystic style of the north which she has mastered. She needs Tiger to train her, a tough sell since females do not use the sword in the desert lands.
- Tiger: His name due to the poisonous sandtiger claw scars on his face, is a master Sword Dancer, perhaps the best, went from an enslaved orphan to winning the right to train at a renown Master's school. He is a loner and has never lost a ritual Sword Dance challenge.
- The Stud: Tiger's horse. Onery, feisty and opinionated he keeps Tiger on his toes, or on the ground depending on how much Tiger drank the night before. The Stud plays an important part in the prophecy.
