• Mona: Elder sister of Nujood.
• Nujood: A 10 years old Yemenite who is given into marriage by her father. This little girl finds into herself the courage to run from home and into the court of Sanaa to ask for a divorce and she gets one. She is the youngest person who ever got divorced in the whole world. She received the "Woman of the year" award in 2008 together with Condoleezza Rice and three other prominent women.
