I was first introduced to C.S. Lewis through the Chronicles of Narnia, as a child. That series remains an all-time favorite. Then as an adult, I read The Screwtape Letters, at the recommendation of my parish priest, and I LOVED it; another all-time favorite. Then came The Great Divorce -- AWESOME -- another favorite. Then... this week I read The Problem of Pain and The Four Loves. I did not like them at all. I found them difficult to understand, long-winded, and boring. I only got about 3/4 of the way through The Four Loves, and I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. Has anyone else experienced this with C.S. Lewis? I have a shelf full of his books -- any recommendations on which ones I should read?
