  • Mobile Suit: In the many Gundam series, a "Mobile Suit" is a humanoid fighting machine with a pilot. Typical Gundams are 60 feet tall and are used for space combat.
  • Char Aznable: Char Aznable, aka the Red Comet, is one of the main characters in Mobile Suit Gundam. In the story his machiens were reportedly thre times faster than normal.
  • Wakadaisho: "Young master" in Japanese.
  • Baka: "Stupid" in Japanese.
  • The Number 108: Reference to the number of earthly desires in Buddhism. Starting New Year's Eve, bells are rung at Buddhist temples 108 times to get rid of earthly desires.
