“I'd love to use this in my AP class, but I don't think King's liberal use of the f-bomb would float! Great view into a contemporary writer's life and creative process. The first half of the book is an autobiography of sorts; the second half is King's advice to writers.”

“This is my favorite book about writing. Naturally, it's also the one that I always recommend to people who want to write. Funny thing is that I am not a King fan, and I would have never read this book, except multiple people recommended it to me. Finally, I had to see what the fuss was about, and I'm glad I did! He is a good writer, and he has tons of great advice for aspiring writers.”

“Absolutely the BEST book on the art and craft of writing. Wonderfully honest. I don't read Stephen King's "genre" but reading this book caused me to respect both him and his craft. Thanks for the inspiration Mr. King!”
