I am, of course, a long-time Stephen King reader. Lisey's Story, his latest novel, is a bit of a departure for him in that it's primarily a book about how a woman deals with the loss of her husband. But don't worry; it's also got a psychotic killer and a giant, man-eating worm-slash-monster...

Really liked this one. As always with King every person in the book is so real, you just get sucked in. Not a lot of action in the beginning, but the part with the can opener still scares the sh*t out of me when I think about it...

It was sad but it was also a little chiling. It got my attention when her sister went into a catatonic state then Lisey saved her and broke her out by going to Booya Moon then going to her car. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat.

A beautifully tender story about marriage and insanity. In true Stephen King form, insanity has its benefits and drawbacks. I really like the protagonists, Lisey and Scott, and their quirky sense of humor...even in the gravest of situations.

King does a marvelous job of writing about love. The story discusses abuse and twisted family situations. It's sort of a dark side of Narnia story.

Amazingly written narrative of a long but troubled marriage and the love between sisters, showing the maturity and wisdom King has gained since his accident. Not as gory as older stuff, but VERY suspenseful and complex in the order in which events are revealed.

Although the writing is brilliant I just couldn't finish it the content just got too gut retching. But it is an excellent example of how we are affected in our childhood and how that effects us and those around us. I also thought that the love that Lisey shared with her deceased husband was great. Overall this is a different book for King and I did like the diversion.
