In spite of what the previous review said (not enough information), this
is a Level One book (pre-schoolers) and that group seems to just love it.

It is very basic, but for the group that it is written, much more technical
information would be boring.

They identify with these creatures with the stuffed penguins in the playroom, and the movie, and they know that they come from a cold place
at the bottom of the globe.
The illustrations are bright and crisp

I was looking for information on penguins at a second grade reading level. This book was TOO easy and didn't give me details. It ws too simple and general.
