What I like the best about the Paige Turner mysteries series is that the story is written in such a way that the main character, Paige Turner, is sharing her story with you as if she were gossiping with a friend over a cup of coffee.

Writing in a personable, friendly, open first person voice, Matetsky (in the form of Paige Turner) chats with you, jokes with you, pokes fun at her name (among other things), adds little "asides" in parenthesis, gives you a little "wink wink nudge nudge"...
