We really can learn a lot from the Bad Girls of the Bible, as we are all sinners. Thank the Lord for his grace!

I inherited a Christian Book Club at cafemom about a month ago and this was our first non-fiction selection. We really enjoyed it.
As a former bad girl myself, I found I could relate to Higgs' characters better than I could the good girls regularly studied in woman's Bible studies at church. I believe I'm not the only one and this series could benefit others and create a bridge between women who've always been in church and the former bad girls of the bunch. I plan to read "Really Bad Girls of the Bible" and "Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible" too, possibly as a future Christian Book Club selection.
I especially loved Liz's style of writing, going back and forth between present-day renditions of the bad girl's story and the actual Bible study of the girl. The present-day stories made characters who might have been only glanced at in the Bible come to life and help you relate your own life to hers.
Come join us at www.cafemom.com/group/cbc if you'd like to read more fiction & non-fiction Christian selections with other moms.

I absolutely loved Liz in person and her books are great too. She starts each chapter with a "now" scenario and then digs into the Bible story of the "bad girl". A fresh look at Biblical women (and their men) who don't get a lot of attention, but have a lot to teach us.
