"Once they love, they love steadily, unchangingly, till their last breath. That is how I like to be loved." Man's best friend? This is an exploration of the relationships between dogs and women; of women who own dogs, or dogs who own women. I'm never tired of reading it, because it makes me think of every dog I've had in my life.
