    Uplandpoet,

There have been a lot of people who have done evil things that proclaimed that they were christian... They were not.... People can call themselves anything they want....

"western "democracies" so get off your small minded ways"

Well you indirectly hit on a very good point. Actually, most of The United States issues stem from violating it's own constitution and getting into the business of other nations. Both of which were not advocated by our founding fathers.... As a matter of fact The U.S.A. is a shell of what it used to be. It is also good to note the The United States was set up as a republic not a democracy...

Check out The Naked Capitalist by W. Cleon Skoussen, and The Creature From Jeckyll island by G. Edward Griffin.

    Go in peace,
    God bless,
    Marc

it is true that marxism is responsible for the deaths of millions of folks around the world, but then, so is christianity, islam and western "democracies" so get off your small minded ways, Jesus taught peace and love and forgiveness, too many of his followers teach condemnation, judgement and hatred, and while smiling and singing Jesus loves all the children of the world!

the bible is a great work, and are other world cultural literary collections, sadly, it has been used by evil people for centuries to oppress and kill the weak and the "different" jesus is not glorified by the pathetic christians of much of cathlocism or protestant varieties, though there are some wonderful christiains in all branches who folloow the ideals he set forth, but thses are not conservative hate mongerers like the american bishops and the tv evangelists

    Lorin B,
But that's what people don't understand!!! Most of them believe the lies of the school systems (which get most of their funding through non profit organizations like the ford foundation and the Rockefeller foundation). The infiltration of communism into our country is astonishing. All the issues we face today in this country can be tracked back to someone in our government not following our own constitution. Our founding fathers (a majority of which were christian) had good sound biblical concepts when they framed our country. This slowly began to corrupted more and more with the establishment of a central bank (the federal reserve which is a private bank), and this my friend will eventually set up the one world government. Some may think my last statement is crazy. Read "The Naked Capitalist" By W. Cleon Skoussen (only about 125pg) which gives a great over view of how this is being pulled off, and how communism is really just a front for the international bankers who are helping set up communist governments around the world. Skoussen's book is an over view of Dr. Carroll Quigley's book "Tragedy and Hope" which Quigley having looked at CFR records wrote a book about what he found. Quigley, being a supporter of this movement wrote this book because he felt that this movement could not be stopped (Quigley was an insider and former President Clinton's instructor)... It's amazing because what these guys are doing is actually WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE.... In the end you have to understand that Lachie M is actually programmed.

    Lachie M:
It is sad to see that you even quote Karl Marx, whose "religion" of communism was responsible for the death of 10 million plus Russians at Stalin's hand. If you want to discuss religion, fine, but don't bring in brain-dead misguided philsophers/economists whose relevancy collapsed with the Berlin wall. Capitalism and the West won. Anywhere Communism exists, you find: poverty (North Korea), death (um...70% of Cambodia under Pot), and veritable slavery ("communal farming" in Russia and in about every other Communist state)and a plethora of other evils. All in all, I would have to say that you are an illiterate and don't really deserve to comment on Road Creek serving to protect your worthless a$$. Nice work on following the words of another worthless philosopher who somehow conned millions into following his "religion". The guy was a failure in every aspect of life (he couldn't even provide for his family - he was a sack of potatoes basically) and you want to quote him? Embarassing. The Bible an embarassment? You may want analyze your own guiding literary works.

Road Creek, you look like you may be in the army or some form of military service, the only organisation more disgusting than religion, which Karl Marx called the opium of the masses. And Karl Marx's beard was far more impressive than Jesus'.

Hi! Lachlan, Bible meant Biblios in Greek i heard. Biblios meant many books or group of books, therefore, there will be several authors. Christianity is NOT a religion. Try tinkering with theology for added input.

Without degrading Christianity, the Bibile would have to be one of the worst books of all time. How badly over-written, contradictory and boring. And heather, it was written by a plethora of authors, not just one imaginary one. I would be somewhat embarrassed if my religion was based on such a poor work of fiction. However its better than Dianetics and Scientology.
