I could not put this book down. It was better than I expected. It was recommended to me by a friend and I have yet to get it.

A little outside of my comfort zone in terms of the subject matter, but an enjoyable read. Seriously highlighting human nature it begs to ask, am I open minded and somewhat accepting of differences or closed minded to something I don't truly understand and don't care to? You have to walk a mile in the other persons shoes before you can pass fair judgement.

While I did not love this book, I did think it was extremely interesting because of the in-depth exploration of the physical and psychological world of a transgender male.

A book about transgendered people -- informative, but sad in many ways. A family is touched by this in many ways. A great book, well worth reading.

This book was a journey of one's tolerance for that which is different and having the courage and empathy to embrace it.

I enjoyed this book tremendously, and was a bit surprised that I did. But the writing was fluid and confessional, never turning a corner unless necessary. Terribly believable.

Here is why I recommend this book: I read A LOT (over ten books a month as a rule - and that is with kids and a demanding job). And I read this book six years ago. And the story still left an impression. I would recommend any book that stands out that much. Is the story Earth shattering? Life changing? No probably not, but it was memorable and well told.

Wow is this an eye opener! I read this book so long ago that I can't even rate it, but it has stuck with me! I felt a great deal of compassion for transsexuals after reading this book - their emotional states, what they go through socially, etc. Really makes you think!

Good story about a subject of which I was in complete ignorance. It seems I never considered what it is like to be a person in the wrong body. I read it a few years ago. It was quite interesting and I am glad I read it.
