I decided to try a John Sanford book on the way back from Alabama on a plane. A very enjoyable read. Good suspense, characters (a very tough cop) and I enjoyed the Minnesota setting.

I had a hard time rating this book. The storyline is decent. The serial killer is believable but the language is worse than sewer talk. I have never read anything that had the F word and MF and SOB in it so much. Unfortunately I purchased three of John Sandford's books the same day for my Kindle...

I love murder mystery and investigation type books. John Sandford does an amazing job getting into the mind of the killer and the main investigator Lucas Davenport.

I had a hard time rating this book. The storyline is decent. The serial killer is believable but the language is worse than sewer talk. I have never read anything that had the F word and MF and SOB in it so much. Unfortunately I purchased three of John Sandford's books the same day for my Kindle as I was leaving on a trip and would not have access to the amazon network. The next one in the series is just as bad when it comes to language. I can't recommend it due to the horrible language.

1st in the series, Seemed to grab me from the beginning and held on until the end! Lucas is the man.

This is the first in the Lucas Davenport series. Lucas is chasing maddog, a serial killer who brutally rapes and murders young women. The maddog is smart-a serious challenge to even the intelligent, resourceful Davenport.
I like Davenport: He gets the bad guy, even if it means crossing the line himself sometimes.
I wanted to know why John Sanford was so popular-now I'm hooked.
