Mike Nelson's Movie Megacheese

by Michael J. Nelson

You might think that after ten seasons on the Peabody Award-winning TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000, Mike Nelson has seen enough bad movies for one lifetime. Mike Nelson (former star of MST3K) is simply one of the funniest people alive. And it shows in this collection of wonderfully intelligent and sarcastic movie reviews. It's a little dated now to read reviews of films like "Volcano" or "Roadhouse," and I wish someone would publish an ongoing series of reviews from him. But it is still laugh-out-loud funny and I highly recommend it.

Very enjoyable. I laughed throughout this book. Mike writes like he speaks, his jokes come fast and are usually right on the $. I'm always on the lookout for stinky moviecheese and I only hope the Rifftrax gang works their way through these titles.

Not as laugh out loud funny as MST3k, but there were a team of people writing for that show. Reading Mike's books starts to let you see which jokes on the show were his.
