This book continues from where the second book in Eskkar saga lets off. Akkad under the leadership of Eskkar and his Queen Trella prosper. The Sumerian Empire to the South of them wants to conquer Akkad. They forge alliances with the desert tribe Tanukhs and Akkad's original enemies the Alur Meriki and field a large force of over 20000 men for the battle. Eskkar counters this huge force by fielding a highly mobile army of little over 5000 men. Eskkar adopts the strategy of taking the battle to the Sumerians and cleverly decides to wage the final battle on Sumerian territory. In the final battle the Akkadians triumph and smash the Sumerians and their allies
