This book succeeds where Clapton failed. Ronnie Wood is an amazingly great story teller - a fresh, naughty, wicked, awful wonder of a survivor. He has a tremendous memory for some of the major debauches he carried out with his partner in crime, Keith Richards. And he is a sweet, lovable family man. When my friend, an English bloke, loaned me this book I thought it would be just something to glance at during lunchtime. I can't believe how wrong I was. This book is terrific.

A very bumpy read. This memoir did not flow well. Through the haze of alcohol and drug abuse he gets some facts and dates wrong (i.e. SNL spot was in '78 not '77 & Ronnie Lane left the Faces circa '73 well before the final tours of '75). He also jumps back and forth through the decades. One bright spot for me was the description of how the song "Its Only Rock and Roll" came together. I've read bits and pieces of the story over the years it was cool to get the full scoop.
