Very creative use of "story-within-a-story"...great pair of antagonists...the battle between the octagenarians a great metaphor for the so-caled "culture wars" folks try to wage around us. Some brilliantly written passages; extremely funny in places--and a beautiful ending. Not for the prudish, I suppose, with the "dirty novel" excerpts--but I thought it was a great read.
