Ravi Zacharias is a writer I enjoy very much. He brings together in this books the eight "threads" which bring out lives together. If our life is under the control of the Grand Weaver, our lives become things of beauty, even if that takes time and occasionally, or possibly often, looks like a bit of a mess. The eight threads are DNA, Disappointments, your calling, morality, spirituality, will, worship and destiny. I really enjoyed this book, and will have to make sure to read it again some time in the future.

I've included a couple quotes from the book I thought were especially good, though they don't begin to cover the whole of the ideas.

“Because we are all priests before God, there is no such distinction as ‘secular or sacred.’ In fact, the opposite of sacred is not secular; the opposite of sacred is profane. In short, no follower of Christ does secular work. We all have a sacred calling.”

“Jesus does not offer to make bad people good but to make dead people alive.”
