I think "The Two Towers" is the most underestimated books of the trilogy. When people speak of Lord of the Rings, they either mention "The Fellowships..." or "Return of the King". Rarely ever do they mention this second part, so vital to the storyline.

Whereas Pt. 1 was more Sorcery, "The Two Towers" is mainly Sword Fantasy, that is militia-based rather than magic-based, though it does offer both. Gandfalf the White, Smeagol, The Battle for Helms Deep, and, of course, Shelob are...

Didn’t Like It

I didnt like this at all. I gave up 3/4 of the way through the book. I just couldnt follow what was going on and kept on confusing charachters. The first of the series was good but I got lost.
