Another grad school read. Quite possibly the best YA book out there. Cormier helps make YA books credible pieces of literature.

Not as good as The Chocolate Wars, but unexpected.

this book is about a boy who runs away from home on his bike. This story has "The Farmer in the Dell" through out the story "the cheese stands alone"

Alfred Hitchcock. This reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Great suspense with an unexpected twist at the end. Really good. I often recommend this title to students.

It's another intriguing story by Cormier. The obliqueness of it should provoke good book club conversations. High School and up would probably enjoy it the most.

Deeply moving, sad, funny and shocking all rolled up into one. Unfortunately as the years roll by it becomes even more relevant. A definite read but also rather disturbing; you have been warned.

I did not have any personal connections with the book but it was great. The major theme is Abel is with his doctor talking about his memories and telling stuff about his life that he even believes that if he is Abel or that his Parents are his parents. Abel is also figuring out why his parents lied to him about his family and why is his dad always afraid about the city for that u got to read I Am the Cheese. How is that
