I am not a die-hard Jane Austen fan, but reading Lori Smith's account of how her pilgrimage to Austen-related sites taught her much about herself increased my appreciation for Jane--and for Lori. Read my full review in the Reviews A-Z section at www.mindywithrow.com.

I like the personal relationship that the author seems to have with Austen. Smith is completely honest in her work sharing personal information about her bouts of depression and her awkward life as a single Christian. It's not the best book about Austen out there, but it does make for a good travel narrative.

A delightful read, one that I highly recommend. Lori’s writing is intelligent, lyrical, and poignant. Her authenticity and vulnerability are rare in Christian circles. This book is a breath of fresh air, one that should be inhaled deeply.
