I enjoyed it, but wasn't the greatest book I've ever read. Toward the end I got to where I was anxious to get it over with!

didn't like the narrator Scott Brick, too dramatic and slow speaking; story OK except for the villians were too bad and the good guys were too good

    My Rating: 3.0/5

Not a favorite but a quick enough brain candy read. I liked learning a little more about the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

A fun read, typical of Cussler. For this one though, Cussler needed a better editor as there are a couple discrepancies in the story - a browned haired boy who turns red headed on the next page and inadvertantly switching names (Carter instead of Curtis) of one of the detectives for a couple of sections. But none of this spoils the story for Cussler fans.

Not the usual nautical theme from cussler this time. A step back in time with detective Isaac Bell. He looks back on his younger years and the pursuit of the butcher bandit. Very enjoyable

STUNNING! JUST AWESOME! Cussler STRIKES, YET AGAIN!!.. TRYING to find a way to Deduct just One Star but there, just ISN't!.. Can't WAIT to Read "The Wrecker"; part Two of the Isaac Bell Marathon... BRILLIANT!!... READ IT!.. Just, simply READ the Book!..
