“ There are lots of wild-game cookbooks, but none designed to take someone who has never hunted through all of the steps necessary to become a hunter, successfully take deer, or other animals, and feed a family good meals at very low costs. This is a book for our times that is intended to help the underemployed feed their families, even to the point of using road-killed deer and other animals.
The directions are clear, the recipes are easy and it is filled with the author's own experiences which make it an interesting read. There is much in this book that has not often seen print in hunting literature, and this information plus the 50 recipes are of value to both the inexperienced and long-time hunters.
This book is an unusual, valuable and timely addition to hunting literature. ”
