Wonderful!! I love this group of young women. Love, life, hardships and triumphs. All interwoven with a fantastic pastor who sees to it that faith without hard works is dead. Great book

These 4 women face tough relationships with the men they love. It may leave you to wonder if there are any good men left out there...(Don't worry-there are!)

So far really enjoying this book. Four different women - 1 widow, Vanessa who lets the grief control her rather then God control the grief and thus hides or does not realise her chronic depressive state of mind bt hides behind church cliches so the world thinks she is doing fine. 2 divorcees- one in a new relatonship but has she really let go of the past (Sheridan from Grown folks business), Kendall thrice hurt by her cheating husband and sister who has her husband and father who is seeming to root for the new couple. In her situation how easy is to really practise forgiveness?
Asia , young single mother who has been nothing more than a professional mistress for 10 years, hoping to be the wife of a rich NBA lover. A character that so far I have no sympathy for, does she learn from her mistakes or does she get her revenge. Real life problems that church people face and their responses to their problems.

This book is the sequel to "Grown Folks Business", with more characters. I rated "Grown Folks Business" a 4, and "The Ex Files" a 5. It was great!

Four woman, different in character, but similar in that they are all having issues with the "EX". Each woman definitely had an interesting story and despite the length of the book, I wanted to finish reading it to see how everything would end. I liked that there were a few twists along the way. A friendship did eventually form between the women, but I would have expected them to bond more. Maybe that will happen in one of VCM's upcoming books... Overall, this was a good read and I recommend it. At the least, you will be entertained by the drama that can brew when four women strangers get together.

This was a really wonderful book about four different women brought together for different reasons but who were experiencing the same struggle. The book made me laugh, cry, angry, and convinced. There is hope if we are steadfast in our faith. I enjoyed the read!

Great book, just read it...it shows how God works with eathern vessels and how u don't have to have it all together to be part of a prayer group...as sometimes God will work out the kinks as u go! It does more than too...it lets you know that being a Xtian is no guarantee that life won't throw you curve balls...it will but you have a God who is bigger than any curve ball. It shows how beauty can come out of tragedy because God is still in the business of repair!
