This book amazingly good! It is about a 5th grade girl with special needs. She can't walk talk or use any parts of her body except her thumbs. She becomes a big sister and has a little sister named Penny who is totally normal. She tries out for her schools quiz team and aces the test. Everyone in the class is so surprised even the teacher, but what they don't know is that Melody has photographic memory. Her team goes to competitions for all around subjects like Math ( Melody's least favorite) science, grammar and geography. Melody's dream is to win the national competition and to be like a normal kid. I love this author's writing. She really makes you interested in the story and make you feel like your right there in the story with the character.
