Try to picture in your mind a girl investigating a mystery. Not just a mystery, but a magical mystery. Magic doesn’t seem real but in the “Grimm Legacy” by Polly Shuman everything comes to life.
“The Grimm Legacy” is a story about a girl named Elizabeth Rew that takes place in New York. Elizabeth becomes a page at the Circulating Material Repository, a lending library. She is told, that there is a magical room called the Grimm Collection. This room is a room that holds all the magical objects from fairy-tail books. The room is the most important room in the repository and rumors say that people have been stealing objects from it. Elizabeth Rew has to undertake a scary journey with her page friends Marc and Aaron. Will Elizabeth succeed or will she get trapped forever in the Grimm Collection?
The genre of this book is fantasy-fiction. I thought this book was very well written. It was written from one point of view. The plot dragged me into the book and I could imagine everything in the story. I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries and magical creatures. This is a good book for ages 12 and up.
