  • Gudrun: Daughter of Gjuki, wedded to Sigurd by trickery.
  • Brynhild: A Valkyrie, rescued by Sigurd. Sigurd's true love.
  • Gunnar: Son of Gjuki. Engages in trickery with Sigurd.
  • Regin: Fafnir's brother, who urges Sigurd to slay the dragon.
  • Hogni: Fafnir's brother, who was also killed by the dragon.
  • Fafnir: The dragon, owner of a large horde of treasure, including a cursed ring.
