  • Alyss Heart: Heir to wonderland, rightful ruler, and a very smart girl. She must outwit her aunt using her quick thinking and imagination to take back wonderland so that she may restore it to its former glory.
  • Redd Heart: Vicious and hateful ruler. Thinks she is the rightful heir. Redd is back and more evil than ever!
  • Homburg Molly: Ambitious and young bodyguard. I was hoping to hear more about her in this one, and it didn't disappoint me.
  • Dodge Anders: Alyss true love! He's intelligent, but doesn't always think for the the common good of everyone. He's the captain of the palace guard.
  • Hatter Madigan: Bodyguard extraordinaire. He's protected the Royal Family his whole life, and he's virtually unbeatable.
  • Bibwit Harte: The Royal tutor to the Heart family.
  • Lady Diamond: Lady of the Diamond family and Mother of Jack of Diamonds, a collaborator with Redd during her reign in the first book of the trilogy.
  • Weaver: Add a description of this character.
  • General Doppelganger: Alyss' highest ranked general. He can split into General Doppel and General Ganger.
  • Ripkins: Arch's Royal bodyguard. Named for his expertise in shredding things.
  • Blister: One of Arch's prized bodyguards. Named for his special talent- pinching the life out of things and giving them painful blisters.
  • King Arch: The King of the neighbor Kingdom of Borderlands.
  • Vollrath: Another member of the tutor species, but teaches his students Black Imagination.
  • Genevieve Heart: Alyss' loving mother.
  • Nolan: Was the husband of Genevieve. Was murdered by Redd on the way back from a trip to Boarderland.
