This story started out a bit slow for me, but boy was I surprised with how well the story developed! I LOVED this book! It actually made me cry a few times especially at the end. Some of the language was a bit distasteful, but overall I still gave it 5 stars.

Yolanda we read this book last year I believe and it was FANTASTIC one of my best reads for 2006. The baby Moses theme is not something many folks talked about but we know it was prevalent during the times. I miss Flora and the crew what true friendship

I'd say it's a must read. I just loved this storyline. I am a big fan of Andrea Smith's novels. Friday Night At Honeybees was one of my favorite reads of all times since I love stories about Harlem back in the hey day.

This author writes really good fiction. And the Sisterhood of Blackberry Corner was a very, very interesting read for me. She takes the time to carefully develop her characters. I loved the main character's best friend, Cille, was it? I read so many novels that I can't always remember names. LOL
