I read this book for my college writing class and ended liking it a lot. The end was kind of predicatble. I love Codi and Loyd together. I recommend this book.

As with all Barbara Kingsolver books, this book has political material that may not sit well with some people. But I really enjoyed it. It makes you think about how you are living and what you are or are not doing. I enjoyed several of the characters and found myself truly wanting to visit the little town of Grace. The main character is frustrating at times. You just want to grab her by the shoulders and shake her, but it comes together in the end. If you have enjoyed any other books by Kinsolver you will enjoy this one.

Pretty Good, not her best work. Not at all captivating such as the Poisonwood Bible.
