“ I would recommend this book to 6-8th graders because it was pretty easy other than the fact that there is a field for sick people left to be eaten by the beasts along with the already dead people. Kira is two-syllables old and she was born with a crooked leg. Kira is fatherless because her father was on a hunting trip and he got eaten by beasts, she is motherless because her mother died of a very bad illness. A woman, Vandara, thinks there is no use for Kira to still live because she can't work, she's too slow, and she eats a lot. Vandara takes Kira to what we would call court.
Does Kira win her battle? Does she die? What happens? How will it end?
You can answer all of these questions by READING THE BOOK!!!
