• Axis SunSoar: The StarMan, the Star God of the Star Dance. Husband to Azhure. Father to Caelum, DragonStar, RiverStar, Zenith and Isfrael. Brother to Bornheld, Gorgrael and Zared. Former lover of Faraday.
• Azhure SunSoar: Star God of the Moon. Daughter of Niah and WolfStar. Wife to Axis. Mother to Caelum, DragonStar, RiverStar and Zenith.
• Faraday: Former lover of Axis. Tree Friend to the Avar. One of DragonStar's five witches, and his lover. Mother to Isfrael.
• Zenith SunSoar: Youngest child of Azhure and Axis. Sister to Caelum, Isfrael, DragonStar and RiverStar. She's in love with StarDrifter but won't allow herself to do anything about it.
• StarDrifter SunSoar: Powerful Icarii Enchanter. Father to Axis, Gorgrael and EvenSong.
• Zared: Axis' younger half-brother. King of Achar. Married to Princess (now Queen) Leagh.
• Leagh: Queen of Achar and wife to Zared. One of DragonStar's five witches.
• Jannymire Goldman: Once the very powerful Master of the Guilds in Carlon. Now one of DragonStar's five witches.
• DareWing FullHeart: Leader of the Icarii Strike Force. One of DragonStar's five witches.
• Gwendylyr: Wife of Theod, Duke of Aldeni. One of DragonStar's five witches.
• Qeteb: The leader of the TimeKeeper Demons. He is the Demon of Midday and Destruction.
• Mot: Demon of Dawn and Hunger.
• Raspu: Demon of Dusk and Pestilence.
• Rox: Demon of Night and Terror.
• Sheol: Demon of Mid-Afternoon and Despair.
• Barzula: Demon of Mid-Morning and Tempest.
• StarLaughter SunSoar: Wife of WolfStar. Companion to the TimeKeeper Demons and leader of the Hawkchilds. She and the Hawkchilds exist only to seek revenge on WolfStar for their deaths.
• WolfStar SunSoar: Father to Azhure and husband to StarLaughter. Once was Talon of the Icarii but was murdered after he threw children and his pregnant wife through the Star Gate. Has been manipulating Tencendor for centuries due to the instructions of the Maze.
• Isfrael: Son and Axis and Faraday. Mage-King of the Avar. Half-brother to Caelum, DragonStar, RiverStar and Zenith.
• Urbeth: The Enchantress and the mother of all the races in Tencendor. All having different fathers, her eldest founded the Acharite race, the middle son founded the Charonite race, and the youngest son founded the Icarii race. Prefers to take the form of an icebear.
• Caelum SunSoar: Eldest child of Axis and Azhure. Brother to Isfrael, DragonStar, RiverStar and Zenith. Caelum was the false StarSon, a decoy and a sacrifice for Qeteb to give DragonStar time to grow. "Caelum" is an ancient word meaning "stars in heaven".
• RiverStar SunSoar: Daughter of Axis and Azhure. Twin sister to DragonStar. She was Caelum's secret lover and after she told him that she was pregnant, Caelum murdered her.
• Noah: The only surviving member of the Enemy, a race of people who had dismembered and imprisoned Qeteb, then crashed the ships into the land of Tencendor, infusing the land with power. Noah is the father of the Acharite race.
• FreeFall SunSoar: Son of BrightFeather and RavenCrest SunSoar. Cousin to Axis and nephew to StarDrifter. Talon of the Icarii. Husband to EvenSong.
• EvenSong SunSoar: Daughter to StarDrifter and Rivkah. Sister to Axis. Wife to FreeFall.
• Niah: Once the First Priestess to the Order of the Stars. Mother to Azhure. Niah's soul tried to take over Zenith's body, but Faraday and StarDrifter defeated her and put her soul into the baby Zenith was carrying. When WolfStar tried to infuse Niah's body with life, Qeteb took it to use for his own purposes.
• Sicarius: Leader of the Alaunt pack. Mate to FortHeart.
• SpikeFeather TrueSong: Former member of the Strike Force. Apprentice to Orr and knows the waterways better than anyone.
• Theod: Duke of Aldeni, husband to Gwendylyr. One of DragonStar's and Axis' lieutenants. Grandson to Duke Roland, who helped Axis in his war against Gorgrael.
• Ur: Keeper of the Sacred Trees, which are the souls of the female Avar Banes.
