I have picked the holy bible of many obvious reasons. It is the book I have based my religious beliefs off of and if I could only remember one book I would remenber this one.

The old Testament is full of some wild and crazy stories such as the story of Judah and his daugter-in-law Tamar (check it out!). I also like the story of the talking donkey who sees angels and reprimands his master (in a Shrek-like fashion). But reading it helps to understand the historical backdrop to a lot of the problems in the Middle East between the Jews and the Muslims.

Never gets old. Always new wisdom to mine from this book, always new insights, always more layers of meaning. Worthy of a lifetime of study.

The Bible is a progressive revelation. It is like the development of a child. As the child grows and matures, the ground work that was laid is the guiding principle as he/she builds the house of their life and character.
People do not live by the WHOLE bible because some of its details no longer apply, but the principles do, primarily as it relates to that part of the Law dealing with sacrifices and the Temple cult. By his death Christ made obsolete the sacrificial system. And that consequently fulfilled all the requirements of the Temple cultus. Christians do not live by the sacrifice of animals, but now we all live because of the sacrifice of Jesus, prefigured in the animal sacrifices of ancient Israel.

The book of all books. It is the Word of God. It's a guide to daily living. I love God and His Word. Lovers and despisers of the Word can find themselves, as well as their eternal rewards, depicted in it.

THIS is the absolute BEST book ever written. It is the inspired word of God. If you want to read some of the other translations of the Bible devotionally, that's fine with me but when it comes to serious Bible Study and knowing what God's word is to YOU, it is very important that you stay with the KJV. I guard against any other translation of the Bible but the KJV being preached from my pulpit. Larry J. Killion, Pastor thelordsbaptistchurch.com

God's Holy Inspired Words! Words for Life And Salvation....Nothing could be better! God's Words Of Truth, Hope, Faith, Life and Real True Love....Words That give us Light into Knowing the God of the Universe, the one and only True God....Plus there are many true adventures all written in this Book, The Holy Bible....B.I.B.L.E.,B=basic,I=instructions,B=before,L=leaving,E=earth.... P.S. for those who are new to the Holy Bible, it is said that the best place to start with is the gospell of John, where it starts out saying" in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us....John chapter one verse one, John 1:1, It is good to read one chapter a day untill finished, then go back and begin reading the whole entire Brit Hadashah(Hebrew for New Testament.)Begin of course with Mathew one chapter at a at time, ending with Revelations, Then after that you should begin in the Old Testament, probably one chapter a day. It is just as important and relevent, But after you have read the New Testament then you will see just who and what the old was pointing too. because it leads you to the truth of the New Testament( I have heard many people say when they started in the Brit Hadashah the New Testament they understood better because it gave "Light and understanding" to the Old Testament, showing them to just whom the Old Testament was talking about all along. Pray and ask God to teach you what it all means and He will, pray to Him, sing to Him, accept the light of the Truth that He shows you in His Holy Word.... God said in His Holy Word, The Holy Bible....," If You Seek Me You Will Find Me; If....You Seek Me With Your Whole Heart....
